Training School

The training course is conducted by Aerial Consolidated Transport at the Taxi Training School, 24 Kembla St, Fyshwick. Bookings for the course can be made by phoning Brian Cody on (02) 6126 1570 between Monday and Friday.

Medical Check

Call Health Services Australia on (02) 6269 2001 for an appointment. The Health Services Australia offices are located on the first floor of Health Services Australia House, 15 Bowes Street, Woden ACT.

Police Character Check

Forms are available from Aerial Consolidated Transport, at 24 Kembla St Fyshwick, or the Government Shopfronts.

Trainee Drivers must: Be at least 20 years of age Have held an ACT Provisional or Full (not Learner, Restricted or Probationary) car licence or driver licence of a higher class (or Australian equivalent) and have held such a licence for at least 3 years to be eligible to apply for a Public Vehicle Taxi licence Applicants with a foreign driver licence must have held a Full Australian car licence or driver licence of a higher class for a minimum of 1 year within the last 5 years Pass a medical test Pass a Police character check
